About Mrs. Jackson,

Clinical Mental Health Practitioner

Almost two decades ago, this proud mother of three children, 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, along with the most caring husband a wife could be enjoined to, decided to enter the challenging field of psychology. LBJ Counseling Service emerged in 2008 and became the vehicle Mrs. Jackson, Therapist, used to provide individual, group and family counseling to adults, children, and adolescents with psychological, behavioral, conflict, life skills challenges, as well as DSM-V mental diagnosis. As a Clinical Mental Health Practitioner, service have been provided in a variety of settings, including independent practice, community agencies, and managed national standards for education, training and clinical practice. Working in these venues required using various highly skilled professional therapies, such as Cognitive Behavior Theory and other consumer-oriented therapy. Along with combined traditional psychotherapy with a practical, culturally specific problem-solving approaches that creates a dynamic and efficient path for change and problem resolution. Specific venues included behavioral health care organizations, referrals from psychiatric hospitals, outpatient and residential substance abuse treatment centers, social services platforms, employee assistance programs, several insurance panels’ centers and work with developmentally delayed children and their families. However, a constant theme or focus with 90% of the patients/clients/students has included some form of grief therapy along with or stand along presenting problem. One of my most rewarding therapeutic groups in this healing profession often requires getting to the other side of grief to continue living. Reach out to Linda Brown-Jackson, Clinical Mental Health Practitioner today to start your journey to the other side of grief, HEALING.
